Thanks to @psyberattack.bsky.social for the suggestion. After assessing several options I landed on mxroute.com. Everything's moved over and seems to be working smoothly. Now I just have to port my remaining domains from Squarespace to Cloudflare (not hard, but Squarespace makes it slow and tedious)

Basil's comment is great but also consider Fastmailor MXRoute.

Day 20 of using FOSS-driven solutions for our domain.
Our costs are almost non-existent. Everything works great and we don't feel the need to change anything.

Google Workspace => Nextcloud
Slack => Nextcloud Talk
Gmail => MXRoute

I like MXroute. $49 Yearly fee for unlimited domains and unlimited addresses.

Or 200 one time for a lifetime account.

Np, mxroute.com is great if all you need is email. Super cheap and the owner takes it super seriously to make sure peoples emails dont end up and spam and bans those abusing it

MXroute is really good. Their deliverability is outstanding, (never had any issues hitting the Gmail inbox), they have decent spam filters and they've only had one 12 minute outage in the 3 years I've been using them. They've also just posted a special offer, and at $10/year you can hardly go wrong.
MXroute - Email Hosting @ $10/year
Hey friends, It has been a while since I posted an offer here, so I wanted to lay down a fairly traditional offer that hasn't seen light in a while.

Here is a good spot to look - www.privacyguides.org/en/tools/

quick recommendations

VPN - Mullvad, Windscribe (supposedly may be added to recommended in the nearish future).

Email - Mailbox.org, TutaNota (now Tuta Mail) or you could roll your own domain with MXRoute (I use them for domain stuff).

What's your budget? Personally i paid about 120$ for the lifetime package from mxroute awhile back. They don't have the reputed safeguards proportionally does though.

I know that you said free... But you can spend like 30 bucks a year on mxroute or similar service and have total control over your emails without anyone snooping in. If it's free, you're the product.

@vandal FYI, I’m considering moving my email from Rackspace to MX Route. MX Route seems to have a good reputation, and my pricing would go from $404 per month (using my new Rackspace price) to $20 per month.

Proxmox for VM’s. Dell Powervault SAN for HA. Mix of old Dell servers and ASrock Rack Ryzen servers. Ubiquiti gear for network.

Spammer exploited my server to send out spam from known internal emails, bad config on my point but damage was done and it tanked my IP rep.

MXRoute for email now.

Fastmail is solid. Should be no issues using them. Support most apps as well.

Other options I’ve used with no issues with but are encrypted:

Mailbox.org (German based).

Tuta.com (also German based and open sourced. New calendar as well)

Not encrypted - MXRoute if you have your own domain.

Kalau saja […]
