It looks like it will be easy to set up, a one off website visit to link your Myki to your credit card. But for anyone who isn’t confident to do it themselves, apparently station staff can help.

That’s a skill issue. You can set up a card to be your transit payment method which allows you to tap without unlocking the device. Apple and android both have this feature. My phone seems to register faster than a myki on the new machines.

They need to implement weekly fare caps! Myki passes are becoming antiquated with these new methods to pay.

Due to the increasing cost of diesel all Myki fares will incur a $1 fuel surcharge from tomorrow.
Yes, our trains are fully electric, however we still feel justified in adding the diesel surcharge.

Needed to get Myki transport cards for the two youths in Melbourne...
They were $5 each. That's it. All they pay. Full stop. Free travel for under-18s.
For Mel and I the cards were $6 each and we pay normal fares, but with a daily cap of like $5.70 or something.
