Sie drehen den Satz um, und machen ihn damit grammatikalisch und inhaltlich eleganter, aber Illouz fängt damit an wie Vernachlässigbar die Nakba doch sei, das womit ttt den Satz anfängt wirft sie hinterher

Post-Nakba Palestinian nationalism hasn't really descended from the Arab Higher Committee, which was an idle gentry that got wiped in the Nakba. Fatah and Hamas both come from different classes (middle and working classes, respectively), and don't really cite the Mufti as a founder or lost cause.
