I did that one year along a similar stretch from Nauset Light Beach while on a run. Further proof balloon releases don’t go to Heaven, they make a mess.

As a young girl back in the fifties, my dad mentioned that fact to me. So every time we went to Nauset Beach on Cape Cod, where he would surf fish for striped bass, I used to walk over the dunes to Pleasant Bay and flip helpless horseshoe crabs upright. I felt so badly for them.
