so much of modern slavic neo-paganism is explicitly nationalistic and anti-semitic whereas with norse paganism there's a large portion who are explicitly anti-racist

From @drfrancisyoung.bsky.social 's book on Baltic heathenism. The weakness of every self-conscious neo-paganism from Julian the Apostate's to modern Wicca and Asatru is that once you are self-consciously trying to be The Old Religion, you are by definition not practicing The Old Religion.
