Nereids are polychaete sandworms in the superfamily Nereidoidea along with bristle worms. Known for their paddle-like parapodia, most Nereids breed only once (semelparity) via epitoky.

It's a member of the Nereididae, some of which have jaws made of a very strong but light material. Who knows... Maybe we'll have spaceships made of worm-tooth one day!

A. virens is the spaceship-jaw worm I mentioned in my previous post, btw.
I don't know if other Nereididae worm-jaws are spaceship-able too, but this one was mentioned in the article, at least.
