Okay, so here's my fstab file, rebuilt from scratch in a live OS. Assuming the UUIDs, types, and mount points are correct, can anyone see anything wrong with this?
(The bottom drive,"Fat", is just a little partition I keep clear in case I ever need to install Windows, hence the "noauto" option)

Just released the Avian 0.2.1 patch release, with a number of important bug fixes and small improvements. Now I can go back to focusing on implementing cool new stuff :)

My brain is running better after editing my config.sys to include
Device=C:\path-to\Himem.sys (Change path-to as needed)
DOS=High
DOS=NOAUTO
Files=30
Buffers=30

My brain is running better after Defragging but I have to do it daily. I also have to open and close the cd drive to get it moving sometimes.
My brain crashed in February after a glitch in September prevented it from shutting down normally and I lost a lot of unsaved data but the OS is running better now, though I'm not sure the hard drive is stable

You could also just manually reserve some emergency space, this is as simple as
zfs create -o canmount=noauto -o reservation=10G pool/reserved
And zfs will make sure those 10G for the dataset are always available in the pool.

You need this if you install beta macOS on the same machine: do not mount automatically volumes of the other macOS version:
- Find UUID of the volume
- $ sudo vifs
- UUID=B92FC129-5750-44A4-9888-596012A8CE9B none apfs rw,noauto
reboot
- Find UUID of the volume
- $ sudo vifs
- UUID=B92FC129-5750-44A4-9888-596012A8CE9B none apfs rw,noauto
