Sometimes I forget I can use GOG downloads and move them to the Win98 machines which can come with benefits like expansions, updates, nocd patches. Downside is sometimes you gotta mess with the dlls since most are optimized for modern machines but usually the og files are hiding in a folder

I wish you could block ads on tiktok. The NOCD ads literally make me sick to my stomach every time I see one.

You know we've come a long way with storage drives, when the older games are recommending you to use a CD over an actual hard drive due to how large the video files would take up.
(Second time installing this game btw, its currently being a PAIN to get it running. Can't find a NoCD patch either.)

Update: I was testing this on a Windows 98 VM and I noticed that the NoCD patch wasn't working. So I implemented it a different way and uploaded the new version. It should print out whether it's patched or not in the main menu now too.

You should check out NOCD, they explain actual OCD very well! It does represent in different ways but symptoms are still similar. I have dealt with some of the most common OCD issues in my life

Lately I’ve been choosing to NOT use the NoCD patches for most of my Windows XP games.
If I can’t be asked to put a disc in, then I don’t deserve to play.
Spent decades cracking every game this way, but losing physical media has me going in reverse.

I only knew enough asm to crack shareware games and make nocd patches. I made so many little text + ascii adventure games in qbasic though.
