Sometimes it is said dinosaurs might have not looked like we represent them because we mostly have bones. Yet, this 110 million-year-old superbly preserved nodosaur accidentally found by miners in Canada, naturally reveals his appearance.

Europelta is the most complete nodosaur found in Europe. We have remains of around twenty individuals from the same site, so the reconstruction of this strange, long-legged nodosaur does have some support

Known as a nodosaur, this 110 million-year-old, armored plant-eater is the best preserved fossil of its kind ever found. It was discovered by miners in Canada in 2017.

Looks like a dragon to me.

For #fossilfriday here’s our Priconodon material we’ve managed to prep so far. This used to be a tooth taxon until 2023. That big tail vert along with the teeth (which are double the size of other adult nodosaur teeth) supports the idea this was possibly the largest armored dinosaur by a lot.
