Firefox bekommt man aber mit NoScript und AdBlock Plugins auch sehr sicher!

That's interesting, I wonder how many people have extentions like this. (I have noscript, which makes the entire video tab a generic noscript image until I click to allow it.)

I tried that for a while as well. But infuriatingly, there were so many websites that I ended up just opening in another browser to make them work quickly that I gave up on it 🙈

Maybe I’ll try disabling the noscript extension in incognito mode as a compromise/fallback solution.

1. I find there's a great range of extensions for Firefox, many versions of the extensions for Chrome. I mostly use ones that add layers of security i.e. NoScript, uBlock Origin, Malwarebytes, Bitlocker. Probably overkill on the first 3, but uBlock script does mean NO adds on EweChube. /2

Sure, this is good. If you're still using some Chrome thing in 2026, idk what to tell you.

But you can do even better: you can use Librewolf, a high-integrity Firefox fork that takes your privacy more seriously, and add the NoScript extension.

Disable wiping history/cookies on quit if you like.

I use Librewolf keeping history/cookies to save me easily 20-30mins locking down Firefox among other things. Ublock Origin is included. I add NoScript in Strict mode and keep only a whitelist for Javascript but you may prefer a more permissive mode. Auto Tab Discard keeps RAM usage to a minimum.

Happened again, first time in a while. I was preparing to shut PM down because memory was at 83% used with Waterfox running too. Proton has changed login page. FWIW, I was able to get password filled in before entering master pw in the popup dialog box. It wasn't intentional, but thought I'd mention it. MC: I haven't used NoScript XUL version in at least 8 years. I switched to Ray's uMatrix (then Vanni's ver.) and uBlockOrigin. **Off-topic:** UCyborg thx for falling leave rule * * *
