#npmjs
Does anyone have a npmjs module published that uses a tangled.org url with the permalink as repo url?

So would be like tangled.org/did:plc:gmoz...

Anyone know anyone who works @npmjs who could get us multiple approvals with one MFA for staged packages? This is crazy and unsustainable.

Oops :)

I forgot I had the redirector rule (-> github.com/einaregilsso...) active that rewrote the URL from npmjs to npmx after clicking on the link.

I should pay more attention 😀
GitHub - einaregilsson/Redirector: Browser extension (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Edge) to redirect urls based on regex patterns, like a client side mod_rewrite.

I've been looking thru the at-store at applications. This is a really nicely made replacement for the npmjs browser, and I would probably use it if I was still using npm
npmx · 5.0 ★ | at-store
a fast, modern browser for the npm registry. Search, browse, and explore packages with a modern interface. Tag: Developer.

I am doing a similar thing in my browser (Firefox) locally with the Redirector extension.

Here is an old post from me how that works for e.g. forcing a different Bluesky client -> whtwnd.com/fry69.altq.n...

Same principle works for npmjs/npmx

@npmx.dev pages for packages are the first I like to bookmark.

npmjs pages were always so use- and tasteless, that I never even thought about bookmarking any of them and avoided visiting them, if possible.

I do not know why, but most registry websites are like that (👋 PyPI), except npmx now 👍

Because spreadsheetimporter can be downloaded for free on npmjs, i do not know who is using it. It always interesting to see where the user to the GitHub Repo are coming from.
Country wise: Mainly Germany and India then USA and Brazil.

I think of npmjs as the browser and npm as the repository, thought the decrying was the browser npmjs.com.

🚨 Malicious package called "mkdocs-material" on npm.

Yesterday, a malicious package with the name "mkdocs-material" was released on npm. DO NOT INSTALL IT. We've reported it, and hope that @npmjs responds fast and deletes it quickly.

I'm happy to say a small feature I worked on for npmx is now live! npmx aims to have URL equivalence with npmjs. The versions URL of npmjs is now supported by npmx in the form of a rewrite (it took me two attempts because I'm a Nuxt noob 😅)
