If the PEB (MCU, DC-DC, OBC) on my Kangoo goes boom for some reason, I have to hope it doesn't take a specific NVRAM chip with it, because you have to swap that to a spare PEB or it'll immobilize the car.
and if I have to go to a dealer, it's cheaper to gut the car and rebuild the whole drivetrain

I would try an NVRam Reset, test it on a live USB, maybe run memtest and CPU tests from USB drives and see if anything comes up.
If there is something going bad, you can test and find it.

both the reset key function (clear all settings) and channel/input display function rely on the remote control; if it's stuck on all the time someone set it that way with theirs

BIOS settings not surviving power loss on an X9SCM-F is almost always the CR2032 — even 2.7V is enough to corrupt NVRAM writes while POST passes. Swap the coin cell before suspecting the board; BMC-side, an ipmitool mc reset cold helps too.

As far as I know there's no cheat code. Is this for a real arcade board or for emulation? because if it's for emulation a NVRAM file can be used. I can find one if that's the case (and upload it on my database, it could be useful for things like this in the future)
