Another quick stacked bar chart, less than 10 lines of code with @observablehq.com #observableplot

This one looks at for active #structuralengineer licenses, how "old" is the license holder's oldest license, and how many states are they currently actively licensed in.

Been playing around w/ @observablehq for some spatial viz. I can’t quite figure out how to pass a bounding box to the domain argument of a projection. Goal is to select a county and have the county fill the entire viewport of the chart. Anyone got a solution?

This is also my first time using @observablehq.com #observableplot. I'm not sure I'll stick with it for the full website, as I'll want a lot of customization and transitions, but for this initial #dataviz draft, it does the job.

SveltePlot (like ObservablePlot) follows the layered grammar of graphics much closer.

LayerChart has compositional components throughout but does provide high-level "simplified" *Chart components to streamline setup and provide tighter integrations (tooltips, series highlight/filtering, brush, etc)

Finally (for now!) number three is 2024/46 (iso codes). This was a quick one - just uses #ObservablePlot tree mark to create a flowchart of the three-letter iso codes. I think I'm now one week behind, so will hopefully turn my attention to 2024/47 (Bob's Burgers!) next!

The first dashboard was 2024/44 (monster movies). Using #ObservablePlot and #arquero JS to filter data on the fly and compare data for different genres of monster movie. I've played around with both in #quarto before, so this was familiar territory.
