My first #illustration of 2025.

I saw these blue #pebbles (at least that's what I think they are) at work. I had this urge to #paint them and I finally did it.

An unfortunately very low energy day, but I did manage to get outside in the spring air for a little while to do some observational drawings in my spring time sketchbook

Another day of low energy observational drawings outside in the sun. My spring book has one of the strictest rule sets of all my sketchbooks, but it's one of my favorite to work in. This is my 3rd year of meandering through this book

On a white background there is a small frame depicting small plants growing through cracks in the concrete. A series of 3 small round bushes grown in front of a small tree. A study of a dead vole.

A couple of quick mirror self portraits. Did these as little studies for a painting but in the end, I with something else. I really liked the idea of the rumpled pose of the second one but quickly realized I wouldn’t be able to hold it for long.

A sketchy, self portrait pencil drawing of a me looking at the viewer, my hair tied up. A sketchy pencil self portrait of me slouching in a shirt with a fair amount of complex drapery. It seemed fun but I wouldn’t have been able to hold this pose while painting.
