Interesting find from one of our #Observatree volunteers in the #Cairngorms 🦟
We're waiting on confirmation but suspect these are Greater black spruce bark aphids (Cinara picaea), a species that has only been recorded in Scotland near Edinburgh and Orkney. And quite the crowd of them too! 😮
