Just came across and read through this article by @cwickham.bsky.social on a few of OFITG eps adapted for radio in the mid 90s, which surely must be the only if not one of the few examples of a TV sitcom (UK based) to have been adapted to the medium by then

Absolutely love OFITG, however I’d also like to mention his performance as the dentist in a Mr. Bean skit which I accidentally rewatched the other day. Comic timing to a tee.

I recall watching Beast in the Cage on broadcast (at the OFITG appropriate age of 9) with my sister (who misses the beginning) and she wouldn't accept that it didn't start in the house.

Oh, I am well beyond the Meldrew Point, but I have definitely achieved Meldrew moans since. I just cringe when watching OFITG now and realise I have turned into Victor.
