Who’s gonna go to OKSDE meeting Thursday and make fun of him in public comments?
November 20, 2024 at 1:55 AM
YIKES. We are still combing through all the proposed @oksde rules and just saw this one. Oklahoma school counselors would no longer be allowed to refer students to clinics or other community resources, among other changes.

The OKSDE board meeting is cancelled for tomorrow.
Ryan’s either still crying or he’s in some deep shit.

The video also encourages kids to think today’s abolitionists are 180 degrees opposed to real abolition like Frederick Douglass.

So what exactly are the responsibilities of the US Department of Education, which Big Thinkers like Trump and OKSDE head Ryan Walters want to kill? One, it's not that old an agency: It came into being in the Carter Administration in 1979, thru an act of Congress, and only an act of Congress can end.

I got an email from Ryan Walters about my Oklahoma public school student. It was pushed out by a subscription service OKDSE uses. Problem is I never signed up for emails from OKSDE. My husband didn’t get one. So they must have got my email from my local school district. Anyone else get one?

Ryan Walters and the OKSDE lose another lawsuit. This one was about KFOR being a legitimate news outlet and having access. Along with attorney fees, they will pay $17.91. Symbolic amount for the 1st amendment.

BOEs & Superintendents (local school districts & our @oksde /Ryan Walters) are all so smart when they read from script, so understanding when they listen to complaints & THEN when they go into super-secret Executive Session-they mock parents & taxpayers as a bunch of dumb YOKELS!

Talked to a friend who has kids in Stillwater Public Schools. They were told the district didn’t give out any parent info to OKSDE. I’ll be asking mine for sure.

Funny story… the day before the OKSDE meeting where RW was playing porn, my bookseller texted me demanding we get more “Ryan Walters probably hates this” stickers. I placed the order. Then this. Sigh.

So anyway. This GWP sticker available next week!

@wsuares.bsky.social
I have tried for days to contact the OkSDE via phone call to ask them how they got my and other parents' email addresses to put on Ryan Walters's email list. Every phone number I call, every time, goes to voicemail.

What's up with that?

New OK School Standards Railroaded Through OKSDE Board Going To State Legislature

The Executive Review Committee, who crafted the standards, were mostly out-of-state right-wing political operatives, including the Prager-U founder and a member from the Heritage Foundation.

And how? I never signed up for emails from OKSDE. How did he get my email? Did the school district give it to him?
