It is of course a farce that the #OlympicLegacy delivered awful outdated street layouts to begin with—but the new safer designs are so much better late than never. Testament to the very hard work of the teams who've worked to unpick the mess left behind post-2012.

Westfield Avenue in the Olympic Park in London. Photos I took in 2013, a year after the games took place - a narrow outdated cycleway which gives up at regular intervals was built. In 2017 this was removed for car parking. In 2025 now removed for a modern, wide & useful cycleway. We got there!
