Omdia (TTGT) published a benchmark of sovereign AI providers, examining whether their service terms and practices support their sovereignty claims. Sovereign AI: A Playbook for Success evaluates 35 providers in 20 countries across contracts, privacy practices and certifications.Omdia found that 28% disclose no proof of sovereignty, eight in 10 contracts put network resilience outside providers’ control or responsibility, and two thirds limit compensation for non-performance to service credits. Its recommendations include investment in certification and trust centers, separate service-level agreements for connectivity and AI, and partnerships to fill competency gaps.
