Omnitone has the coolest packaging of any module manufacturer I've seen. They did a sketch of a nearby diner. They couldn't have known that this is the diner at which I dine. It was pretty cool.

Check this care package I got from Liz & Tristian @ Omnitone.
Such a cool mom&pop vibe there. I missed the BF sale with them but still got 15% off their Etsy for ordering over $300 which 10% was the best BF sale I saw.
Liz drew me custom pictures on a thank u note & included patch cables.

Tristian and Liz from Omnitone were just the first people to help me make informed decisions about what eurorack gear i needed and some ideas about patching when I made a post on reddit. Many people posted negative discouraging remarks

I'm waiting on my Omnitone Rosci in much the same fashion. The Arbhar looks amazing.

following some clarity from soundcloud on their use of generative AI, i've reinstated all of my music and thought it would be nice to dig this one out of the archive
i've been using it in live shows for the last couple of years

#Eurorack companies to watch?
ST-Modular and Sylph just made the top of the list for me.
Cool modules with great design aesthetics.
Bonus: supporting Sylph puts money directly into Ukraine.
Also Omnitone.
Other mom n pop shops you see making beautiful gear that's unique or worth mention?

the beaks are my percussion sources right now but i'd like to get something purpose made for that so i can use them as utilities and something else for melodic sequencing. i've been staring into a shopping cart abyss containing an omnitone beatsi and an o_C for two months, eventually i will fall in

also don't sleep on his two later quintet albums: Door of the Cage (Soul Note, 1995) + Marionettes On A High Wire (OmniTone, 2001). much more down the middle but Baikida plays wonderfully and the writing is rich & vivid like a painting.
rec of the day: BAIKIDA CARROLL "orange fish tears" (souffle continu LP) finally got a copy of this classic '74 St. Louis-meets-the-world session, originally on palm. a true art ensemble/new music vibe with amazing use of space/percussion/tone-floats

Points for a multi panel scene on varying sized blanks that can form a cool image when combined like this hand drawn beauty I got from Liz @ Omnitone. I just recently filled the last spot so I'm gonna put the whole thing together soon in my Moog case. Theres also a 2hp and a 4hp panel not pictured.
