I’ve always been fascinated with the life and times of Queen Lili‘uokalani, the Sovereign of the Kingdom of Hawai‘i.
I just read something about her that I didn’t know: her personal motto was ‘onipa‘a— “hold fast.”
That seems very much a lesson she could pass on to the rest of us. Hold on.

Shout out to the Haole Americans that understand and support kanaka O’iwi!! You guys are the MVPs. So much hate on social media over Onipa’a, it’s like these Haoles don’t want Hawaiians to exist. It’s racisms it’s colonialism and it’s hate. Also they to scared to say it to our faces.
