I think this qualifies as Lorem Ipsum for the oped page

I feel for you every time some idiot writes a New York Times oped.

How long until her "Why I left the left" OpEd in the Washington Post?

TIL that Lewy body dementia is also what took actor-comedian Robin William's life. A poignant oped from his widow: www.neurology.org/doi/10.1212/...

Tomorrow:

"why I left the left" oped by Hailey Stevens.
November 2, 2026 at 5:01 AM
McMorrow’s (Jewish) husband asked Stevens to sign an OpEd in September criticizing Mike Rogers for refusing to denounce antisemitic members of his campaign/volunteers & antisemitic megadonors to his campaign. She refused to do so. But she claims she’s endorsing Rogers to “protect” Jews from El-Sayed
Here's more from Ray Wert:

"Literally the bare minimum - attack MAGA Mike Rogers, the guy who would have been running against you had you won the primary. And that was over a month ago. This is nothing new. This is just who Haley is."

being a new york times oped columnist must be like being a republican politician in a safe red seat.

Arguing with Gail Collins doesn't really train you for the big leagues.
Bari Weiss's resident hack Ross Douthat made a complete fool of himself on 60 Minutes, trying to claim the Saudi lobby has the same grip on Washington as AIPAC. Abdul El-Sayed immediately crushed him: 'AIPAC spent $33 million against me alone! Name another lobby doing that.' It has to make sense!🗳️🌊

Many such instances when the hard news section and the oped pages of the WSJ contradict each other
November 2, 2026 at 9:17 PM
Famously the OpEd page of the WSJ tells the C-suite what they want to hear while the news section tells them what they have to hear.
November 2, 2026 at 3:11 AM
And yes I suppose technically the NYPost OpEd never explicitly says that Stevens is Jewish but there is a clear implication in the phrase “In the end, she came to the realization that so many Jewish-Americans have” and there is no universe in which it was not intentional.

In his kooky new OpEd, Ioannidis says science communicators who supported mask mandates during the pandemic were equivalent to tobacco companies 🤯

Statewide mask mandates saved an estimated 87,000 lives in 2020 (pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...)

Tobacco kills >7 million people /yr

So similar!
It’s sad to see what happened to Ioannidis: his new piece argues the greatest threat to US science is science journalists & journals (BMJ, Lancet etc)🤯
He peddled horrific conspiracies during Covid (eg, claiming doctors were killing patients by intubating them)! Read this by @gorskon.bsky.social 👇
"John Ioannidis recently characterized journalists invoking falsely (in his view) “science-based” views as a threat to science. What is the real threat to science in the US? (Hint: It’s not that.) Here’s a reality check."

NYPost OpEd says “In the end, [Stevens] came to the realization that so many Jewish-Americans have, to their sadness: The party has abandoned them.”

Except, again, HALEY STEVENS IS NOT A JEWISH-AMERICAN. SHE IS A PROTESTANT CHRISTIAN. And Democrats HAVE NOT ABANDONED JEWISH-AMERICANS. OR VICE-VERSA
Haley Stevens’ act of bravery as her party abandons Jewish voters
Think about how bad Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed must be for Haley Stevens to cross the political aisle and endorse Republican Mike Rogers

Galaxy Brain: AES psy-oped Stevens into an absolute flameout to make any opposition to him look completely unhinged.
NEW: Abdul El-Sayed raised *$2.4 million* on Sunday — shattering the campaign’s single day fundraising record.

Average contribution of $36.74 from more than 65,000 donors, per campaign.

29,602 people donated for the first time.

I love this exchange. I recently went down the manosphere rabbit hole for an OpEd I wrote on how MAHA, MAGA, & the manosphere have merged & it made me feel mentally & physically sick. El-Sayed, Ossoff, & Talarico show young men that caring, being in community, & fighting for rights ARE masculine
I really think that MAGA masculinity crashing and burning so badly has created an opening for Dems to model a different kind of manhood. I think James Talarico and Jon Ossoff are doing this quite deliberately.

My exchange with @amandamarcotte.bsky.social on this:

…for not denouncing antisemitic staffers/volunteers/megadonors of the Rogers campaign and Stevens hemmed and hawed but ultimately refused to sign off on or publish that OpEd.
