Yes and replit just dumped Anthropic entirely due to inflexibility over discounts. OpenAI gave deep discounts to get them. OpenAI is also planning to start limiting paid accounts’ token burn in December so I can’t imagine these are permanent discounts either

Replit is one of the first companies to fully pivot to an AI garbage product, right?

OpenAI is training its replacement. Household needs aren't going to scale with capability. Demand will flatten at the heaviest common use, just like it did with storage and bandwidth. Consumers will buy hardware that cost $100 and never pay OpenAI another dime.

OpenAI may rename data centers as “AI compute campuses”

Data centers are unpopular, so OpenAI may try a rebrand. Same giant servers, friendlier brochure language.

do you know why RAM actually costs so much? the common response is that OpenAI buys lots of RAM, but that wouldn't be shitty enough.

OpenAI went to Samsung and SK Hynix in 2025 and bought 40% of the world's raw silicon wafer production for the next FOUR YEARS.

these guys want you to own nothing.
