#openvr
Valve's docs don't properly explain how the OpenVR protocal for standalone frame works - they're very much geared for x86 Windows and Android builds, they don't really want people to make Arm64 VR games just bring along their Quest and Windows games instead.

what im doing is very much unnecessary lol, but i also figure some people might find it helpful with how obscure openvr overlay programming is
October 15, 2026 at 3:35 PM
i guess there's nothing that can be done other than implementing an entirely new OpenVR backend to work around this. ah well

Eesh. Not shocked it's sold out.

I did some digging and the program is OpenVR Space Calibrator on github. Dunno if it'll work with the frame but might be worth a poke

touchdesignerに関してはマジでOpenVR CHOPで可能らしい。
でもOpenVR SDKが必要ではあるからソフト内で完結はしないっぽい。

even tho we've had eye tracking for a bit. people are still trying to figure out how to adapt from openvr to openxr best (despite the name, openvr is [semi-(?)]proprietary) and getting games to run at all

Inside the headset by default? No. When connected to a PC? Yes, as long as you have a lighthouse tracker like a Tundra Tracker or Vive Tracker attached to the headset and run OpenVR Space Calibrator

Usually OpenVR Capture is the method for that, but obviously that depends on set ups, and I'm guessing you've probably tried that.

Ooh, I hope that will translate to an update for PC Linux. I just got an index but I haven't been able to bring up a desktop in it and haven't had time to fuck around with some of the openVR/Monado stuff.

Fixed it!

Needed to restart WiVRn after making sure it knew of xrizer and setting it in the OpenVR compatibility library

Ngl I was thinking more than once about making a world hop tool. Website + openvr overlay app. Find an interesting world? Mark it in the OVR app. If you take a VRChat picture add world meta data to it too, then you can just at the end of your session write a line or two and submit it
