There's the NSO/Kennedy Center, the Cleveland Orchestra and San Francisco Opera orchestras recently ended strikes, Dayton Philharmonic just authorized one, Nashville just barely saved their next season with a last-minute corporate donation --and that's like the last few months and not near all of it

For our main stories this week, we start with some important reporting from Amie Stager at Workday Magazine on the wide dragnet of state surveillance unleashed on workers across the Minneapolis area to try and crush anti-ICE organizing. Finally, another incredible investigation from Amir Khafagy at Documented in NYC has revealed yet more fake unions, this time set up by a "former" union buster. Admired and enjoyed (most) of Mary, Queen of Scots at the San Francisco Opera last night but I need a break from rape scenes. I really do. (Everything everyone has said about the dinky set is true. Doesn’t make sense to put a tent on a stage over 3x its height)

at about $600 million.

Among US opera companies, I believe that San Francisco Opera's is the largest, at about $300 million.

The Metropolitan Opera just started a campaign to raise $1.5 billion. Their annual expenses are about $300 million.
