Only reason why I opted for a Super Emotia over a OSSC Pro atm is because they're both pretty expensive and the av out costs extra and is hard to find. Though, if you're willing to drop a good amount of money on a downscaler Ossc Pro might be worth looking into.

The problem with the PS3 (and also 360) is that there's no 240p support whatsoever. The only resolution they support through composite is 480i. The only way to get 240p on there is by using a downscaler. Either a (I have though are super rare and pricey) Extron Super Emotia or OSSC Pro will do.

The OSSC sees a signal, but nothing on the monitor, which goes to sleep. That suggests the monitor is crap lol.

I used the OSSC Pro to add 240p scanlines on this Sony HD CRT, this works best in 480p and 1080i, but 720p flickers a lot so not recommended.
