with any luck cancer will be next. ideally ovarian cancer
Anyhow, I think we are now done with the last round of skeptical responses to AI after Navier-Stokes. Yes, AI is now capable of producing novel proofs to hard problems that have eluded us

The next line will be that this is only constrained to math because of RL training. I suspect not, we will see.

Two years without Mama. 💔 Tell your moms (or mom like figures in your life) that you love them!

The charity has just subtly dropped a bunch of official “in support of Ovarian Cancer Action” logos on to the Facebook page.
I fear an outbreak of AI posters has hit the Facebook group for the charity walk I’m doing. Quite apart from the cluttered soul-destroying planet-destroying graphic design-ignoring awfulness of them, not a single one has managed to get the branding and logo of the charity correct.

I went to the ER for an ovarian cyst that I thought was appendicitis and the male doctor sent me home. Went to a different one the next day, and the woman doctor got me diagnosed and on pain meds immediately lol

was wondering why I felt off and irritated and a mess today (more than usual lol) and realized it’s been 9 years to the day since my ovarian cancer experience—almost a whole decade.

which means it’s been 20ish years since my childhood cancer hell. feeling pensive but also so glad to still be here 💜

While I’m ranting, I also wanted to thank everyone who’s donated (link in my bio). So far we’ve raised nearly £3.5k.

The reason for supporting Ovarian Cancer Action is because they put so much into research. Here’s more (from their own site, with nice clean branding): ovarian.org.uk/about-us/whe...

nothing like a ruptured ovarian cyst to ruin my weekend and cost me all my work for the weekend

Proven to cause ovarian cancer and for generations women were putting it in their underwear every single day. It took people putting their careers and lives on the line to get that information out.

Capitalism is inherently evil, prove me wrong.

As another ovarian cancer survivor (22 years this week), I’m glad you’re still here

I think I was a few years later than average. When we were doing fertility, they said I had a large ovarian reserve & told me that menopause likely wouldn’t be early for me.

A family history of estrogen-sensitive cancers (breast, ovarian, or uterine cancers) is one of the most common reasons women—myself included, and often their doctors—avoid hormone therapy.
After watching both my grandmother and my aunt brutally die from HR+ breast cancer, there’s just no way.

Right, inspired by @cornwallhistory.bsky.social, I’ve checked my mileage after 10 days and I’m on just over 36 miles. Which is ahead of schedule, but this might be a slow week because of sprained ankle.

Sponsorship link is in my bio, btw.
