It was this California Raisins platformer game my dad got on floppy disc back in the 90s. XD My brother and I would jail break the computer at night just to play it haha. We played a lot of ROM games after that. Jill of the Jungle, Paganitzu, ZOOL, Commander Keen, Jazz Jackrabbit…classics.

remember when the computer wouldn’t turn on when it was too cold? ours was at the other end of the house from the heater and sometimes i’d have to wait hours for the room to heat up enough to play paganitzu
My brother got a smart phone pretty early on & suddenly all the “I wonder…” questions around the dinner table became instantly answered, & we realized we didn’t want answers, we wanted wonder
things were better when the computer lived in its own specific room and you only went in there sometimes

My mom was a teacher, and some of my earliest gaming memories were old 90's DOS games on her classroom computers. One I was quite fond of was Paganitzu, which was a tomb raiding puzzle game. I never got far, but the sprites are very tasty
