I spent the weekend hiking instead of doing art so sorry for disappearing for two days!

Any advice on brush textures to use for shading this scene?

Saya Blue sky Folx, wanna a break from the doom? Help me with this test sketch, please? Mind you she would be wearing lomg flowing clothes in the final oils.
The question: what does her body posture read? What might be on her mind. No wrong answers. #art #painting #paintinghelp

‘K this is a goofy painting. I paint for me, and apparently my heart and soul is about five years old, whatever. But the know this painting needs something. I really want these budgies to be saying something. Ideas?

This is a completely unedited shot from my balcony.

I'm getting into oil paint currently, and I can imagine this would make for a good reference.

Can anyone paint it, please?
