In Super Mario 64, the haunted chairs and normal chairs are actually the exact same object, whose behavior is determined solely by how close it is to the piano. Chairs close to the piano get it assigned as a parent object. Only parentless chairs are coded to become haunted.

Just last week, a parent in NJ-10 was detained by ICE after ordering food for his 6-year-old daughter. When her dad didn’t come home, the little girl was found crying and wandering for hours outside, parentless.

I spent two years parentless, only being adopted in 1964.
Some of his comments - especially being repeatedly told I was not really wanted - caused deep emotional hurt. I have never forgotten it. I apologise if it’s not what you expect but indulge me this once. It matters to so many of us.

A few weeks ago, a 13 year old was abducted by ICE and he is still not home. The trauma caused to this child is unfathomable.
