#passwordsafe
The second one is social engineering. Bob Passwordsafe would like to inspect your password, and let you know if it's secure enough, so tha'ts why he called you on the phone.

Yes sir, them tricky internets!

This can also be stuff like, 'you wrote it on a postit under your keyboard'.

Credential persistence in the IntelliJ SDK comes down to three moving parts: Attributes, PasswordSafe, and Credentials. Here's how they connect.

Fortunately, I use an iOS/macOS app version of an old open source project called PasswordSafe with iCloud data storage and never migrated to LastPass or 1Password but largely use Apple Passwords for less important sites (excl financial stuff)

PasswordSafe, but I manually do some legwork keep the file in my Dropbox and it is a bit more work to grab the password.

Passwords and alike in IntelliJ plugins belong in the PasswordSafe. But credentials need to be handled off the EDT, and a few API elements needs to click together.

The IntelliJ Platform SDK docs now cover this with updated best practices and Kotlin examples.

Kriegt heise eigentlich Geld von irgendjemand, wenn sie in jeder Ausgabe Passkeys pushen wollen? Sehe immer noch keine Vorteile gegenüber meinem Passwordsafe auf der NAS.

[Clipman Changelog]

@FreakyFwoof Confirmed that text from PasswordSafe is ignored with no additional configuration needed beyond the defaults.

[Clipman Changelog]

@FreakyFwoof Does Clipman already ignore passwords copied from certain password managers like PasswordSafe? I assume the app must set some sort of flag because the built-in Windows clipboard history feature does ignore them.

My PasswordSafe vault now has nearly 50 entries. I don't try to remember passwords anymore.

There's a sad tale behind each of these options

PasswordSafe and notepad++ come to mind
all the best windows software in history is called something like "joe's thing doer". it does the thing and nothing else and is available on a html website in plain text and takes up under a megabyte of space and uses default windows ui elements and will work until the heat death of the universe

Stop asking users to paste tokens into plugin settings!

I recorded a video about adding OAuth2 login to JetBrains IDE plugins: browser login, IDE callback, PKCE, PasswordSafe, and GitHub API calls

I'm currently trying out Protonpass as my password vault, and am very impressed with the Android app.

But, I think the best feature is the Darkweb Monitoring. It checks a database of breaches for your user name and password and tells you if you need yo change it! #passwordsafe

So I'm investigating #passwordsafe (pwsafe .org) and its ecosystem as a potential replacement for #keepassxc, and of course the first thing I do is submit a shared-mime-info db patch for their file formats. Nerd.

Also für herkömmliche Passwörter. Zusammenarbeit erstaunlich gut über Netzlaufwerk (auch Merge bei gleichzeitiger Änderung). Der Trend geht intern auf AzureAD und PAM (delinea) für Serverzugriffe statt Shared Functional Account

I've been using pwsafe/passwordsafe. Free, no one else involved in the running. Opinions?

Oh I can just quickly do this task on my phone.
Go to URL. Log in. Oh, open PasswordSafe. Can't open repo. Go to Gdrive, download repo to phone, open in PasswordSafe, copy password to clipboard, paste, wrong password, try different username.
(30 minutes later)
FUCK IT I'LL DO IT ON MY PC

One password for every web site, people. Use KeePass or PasswordSafe. You don't need to pay for costly solutions to track pwds.
