Usually writing patchnotes comes months later and it's very easy to forget to include a thing that you did 2 months ago right after the cutoff for the previous patchnotes

if i want a fix included in the patchnotes for an update, i have to manually write that fix down in the patchnotes, which if i'm not explicitly targeting a given patch is easy to forget/not bother with and i'm lowkey busy working on future stuff
