I had to explain this to an 'anti-racism tutor' that his 'colorism' explanation of colonialism in South Asia didn't work.
In South Asia it was Native light-complexioned Pashtuns/Pathans who fought colonialism & were subjected to concentration camps & extermination.
Natives have/had it the worst.

Lina is Pathan. There's definitely a pattern of 'Anglo-Saxon Empire' antagonism towards Pathans. That was particularly noticeable during the War of Terror when Brookings academics were calling for ethnic cleansing.
