The best social media only let you do one thing, either by design or because of technical limitations. I admire Letterboxd for only being a movie app and nothing else. The entire mountain climbing community uses Peakbagger, a site held together with duct tape since the 90s.

I was fortunate enough to spend much of 2024 on the move & it was a blast! Summited Mt. Rainier in June, finished the Silver Falls Trail 50k in November, and tackled Spencer Butte 30+ times. Along the way, I climbed 161,558 ft. The PNW is ideal for a peakbagger like me.

Gaia for the ease of mapping routes before exporting to Peakbagger for the free map layers (for now) and progress tracking. 😀

Thanks for the Peakbagger tip Fran, I need to check that site out. I've got to say though, I've been using Walk Highlands for years and discovered so many routes through them/

This was my 5th summit climbed for So. Cal Winter SOTA Fest, and probably my favorite of the weekend. I started the hike at a cattle guard, which was recommended by many from Peakbagger. … Continue reading → https://blog.benmook.com/?p=4899

Mount Gardner
ALW Hiker's report on Hansen Ridge got me thinking of trying for Mount Gardner, but as I was doing more research I found a track on peakbagger (https://peakbagger.com/climber/ascent.aspx?aid=2920994) ...

And that’s the 1st, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 3rd highest points in SF on peakbagger. (I skipped 2, 3, and 5 because I’m up at twin peaks all the damn time already.) Sorry for the photo dump. 5/. (https://www.peakbagger.com/list.aspx?lid=-949824)

Peakbagger is my go to website for beta and recording my climbs (peakbagger.com/climber/Clim...) out here in the US. WH kind of reminded me of Peakbagger. However, WH is so comprehensive that Peakbagger will probably seem a bit superfluous.

Oh, wow. This is a fantastic site, Blair. So much to learn virtually.

Reminds me of Peakbagger. Have you used it? This site you shared has so much info though. I love all the pictures and trail beta. Impeccable wealth of info.

*Selon PeakBagger : Dolohmwar 760-770m alors que le Ngihneni 780-790m est le point culminant de Micronésie.

(au fait, ils ont une liste des points culminants par pays)
