Around the world in 2,200-something days. (And mostly staying in the greater Seattle area.)

That’s time I was chained up at #Steppebrand.
They shoved a pedometer into my boot and told me I had to do 1,000 steps and accurately count, if I was off I was to be punished, turns out the pedometer didn’t have any batteries in it so they didn’t know the total either! The buggers!

Age verification?

I own a Pikachu pedometer because my grandma didn't know what I meant when I said I wanted Pokemon Yellow Version.
Age verification?

I was born while Hurricane Katrina was doing its thing.

Two decades prior to now.

Hurricane Katrina will be old enough to drink this year.

Age Verification?

I was there when Computers were added into schools.

I was there for the original vhs of Wizard of Oz!

The Nintendo 64 is only a year older then I am!

Yesterday’s walk: Did a tried and true route to start off the year—the 520 Bridge to Kirkland, up the Connector Trail to Totem Lake, over to Woodinville, down to Redmond. Frosty grass, river otters frolicking in the Sammamish, a very welcome full day of sunlight. 52,104 steps, 27.4 miles.

Today’s walk: I realized that Tacoma is just a short train ride to Federal Way and one 574 bus stop away, so I spent the day exploring Tacoma. Some great shops, a lot of hills, and a snowy start giving way to a beautiful day. 44452 steps, 20.9 miles.

Caller ID is nice to have but otherwise a Casio pedometer watch would do everything I need, without spying on me

Previously, I thought "I can't keep my pedometer in my pocket while sitting, I fidget too much, and it'll mess up my step count."

Today, I realized... Why do I care? The point of keeping the pedometer in the pocket is to track activity, not literal steps.
