Up for the Pellia impression
Latinum up for the ‘AI doesn’t create, only steal’ (I’m awaiting my Anthropic settlement money)
Down for not mentioning La’an’s dress like you did Spock’s leather trousers 😉

My theory is that Pellia stayed behind, married Miracle Max, and that ship becomes the world where the Princess Bride happens. I don't think we'll see Pellia again. At least not until Humperdinck, Humperdinck, Humperdinck!

I do wish they’d do a better job of either using Pellia or letting her go and just using Scotty. It’s like a game of roulette whether it’ll be Pellia acting like the chief engineer or Scotty, episode to episode. She was better last season. This season… easily the worst written character.

Roach & other fish benefit from the rich growth of #aquaticplants in the River Nar, even including a bit of that zenith of fish-friendly macrophytes, Water-Crowfoot (Ranunculus). Unusual amount of liverwort, Endive Pellia (Apopellia endiviifolia) carpet river bed. On alder roots, Sessilida ciliates.

Same. Just watched. I laughed all the way through. I commend Ethan Peck for having to act against puppets and maintain Spock as a character. Some great jokes along the way. And Pellia looked great as a puppet. Loved her hair. And Pike’s!

There were some amazing carpets of the liverwort, Endive Pellia (Apopellia endiviifolia) in this chalk stream, plus the more familiar Willow Moss (Fontinalis antipyretica) & Waterfelt (Vaucheria). Also, less welcome, here entwined with Ivy-leaved Duckweed, Blanketweed (Cladophora glomerata). 22/25

TBF, predestination paradoxes are pretty built into Trek lore. See:Kirk‘s glasses, Pella becoming an engineer because La’an planted the idea in her head, etc.
(It remains my headcanon that Pellia and Guinan were in deep cover during “Jumping Jack Flash” and didn’t know the other’s true nature.)

I am DELIGHTED that Star Trek Strange New Worlds exists in the same universe as Doctor Who. Pellia has made several references to traveling with a doctor in a phone booth - including in this season's opener - and this graphic is lifted from s03ep06... #StarTrekSNW #DoctorWho

Olen vuosikymmeniä ihmetelly tätä :
Firma ostaa koneen joka tehostaa työtä, verovähennys.
Firma palkkaa työntekijön, on yelliä, lelliä, pelliä, työnantajamaksut ja työterveysmaksut. Työntekijän palkkaamisesta tulee hirveät rapppaverot, siitä siis rankaistaan.

I love a liverwort!
This one is (likely) 𝘗𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 and we found it growing on a muddy streambank. Check out these wild reproductve structures!
(Re-post due to autocorrect nonsense!)

Pellia was there when they wrote the book. She reads it remarking things like "Zefram Cochrane owes me fifty bucks " and "i one puked in Von Brauns briefcase "

Revisiting the Pellia sensu lato complex: an integrative review of taxonomic revision, phylogeny, and molecular biology
The genus Pellia sensu lato, a crucial early lineage in land plant phylogeny, has long presented a significant taxonomic challenge. This stemmed from its high phenotypic plasticity and a limited numbe...

Brief sunshine yesterday so over to the chalk stream section of the Flitch Way via some very muddy woods. Two-spot Ladybird, a Mayfly nymph (prob Cloeon dipterum), the 1st time I’ve seen a Stonefly nymph (I have had adults of Nemoura cinerea here) and a lovely Spider - Platnickina tincta.
