Slumber party coming up, so I moved the Nazarenes and their cousin from Korea to the guest room for their own safety.
A classical martin guitar on a floor stand in front, with no pick guard and the reversal tuning pegs, which are orange if you zoom in but is not reallyy noticeable behind it is a similar steel string martin with a nifty scalloped pickguard and gilded style hardware, and a 12 string sigma behind it. There is a white dresser and a black piano on the edges of the frame and a light blue shirt hanging over a chair.

Just installed my first set of EMGs into my Harley Benton explorer :0
The speed knobs vs the chrome domes it came with make it look a lot nicer too.
The body of a Harley Benton Explorer clone. The pickguard is sticker bombed with furry and queer stickers, the original pickups replaced with an EMG 81 (neck) and EMG 85 (bridge) pairing, and the original chrome knobs replaced with black Gibson-style "speed" knobs

And here's my moon art for the harvest moon last night as a gallery. I do make a lot of moon inspired art 🤔😅

#moon #harvestMoon #FullMoon #moonArt #sketch #artSky #art
Sketchbook page with an inkpen sketch in it. A sickle moon with a content looking face turned toward the upper left, the eye just an empty hole like in a mask. Below that an electric guitar with a glittery pickguard held by two hands coming out of the dark background. The background is a starry sky turning into a stylized, silhouette forest made up of naked trees diagonally from the bottom right to the upper left. Calendar turned sketchbook. Inkpen sketch of a portrait of a female figure with a giant moon for a head. Her face, on the other hand, is the appropriate size for the rest of her body, thus looking very small on the big moon surface. She is looking at a melting ice-cream scoop, with a pattern resembling planet earth, in a cone that she is holding in her hand. She is wearing some kind of futuristic looking space suit. In the background a dark starry sky. Calender turned sketchbook on a grey surface. Inkpen sketch portrait of a female figure with a moon for a head, the upper right part is designed as a sickle moon, the inside is black with the craters shaped by white dots. On the inside the facial features are created by white lines, except for the upper lip and eyes, which are created as usual. She is holding up a hand to her lips in a shushing motion, the other hand is bracing the huge moon head. She is wearing a crinkly dress. In the background there's a night sky with stars and clouds. Photograph of a calendar turned sketchbook lying on a dark grey surface. Black and white inkpen sketch. The motif is designed to look like a portrait A mask is hovering above empty upper clothing. The clothes are minimalist and strict, a heavy fabric collarless jacket with round, decorative buttons, inside there's a white shirt with a simple round standing collar. The mask is a sickle moon shape with a curled up upper tip, below it's designed like a human face, the inside of the moon shape is empty. Behind all that an empty, starry night sky, the moon is in the middle of the masks eye hole where it looks like an eye, to the left a star also looks like an eye where an eye hole would be.

at the bare minimum if resin doesnt work out i will just buy a pickguard blank and do it the normal way. but im also thinking if i can get resin to work i can do that thing where you cast one layer, paint stuff on it, and then cast the top coat. or just put funky glitter in it yknow

i think the idea is the same with the pickguard but that one might be tougher given how thin it is. and the obvious answer is "cast a flat sheet of resin and cut the shape out of it" but apparently resin is VERY prone to shattering if you do that. and i cant buy a second market pickguard for it -

- make and/or acquire new knobs, a new pickguard, and possibly new pickup covers for it. im starting with the knobs, i have one of the tone knobs sitting in a cut up paper cup full of casting silicone and we're gonna see what happens with it lol. end goal is to cast them out of resin

www.vintagesilvertones.com/product/silv...

#VintageGuitar #Guitar #Silvertone #Danelectro
This is a double-cutaway Silvertone made by Danelectro of Neptune, NJ made in February of 1964. The guitar features two single coil lipstick tube pickups with stacked tone and volume controls for each along with a toggle to switch between neck, bridge or both pickups. It has a solid-center Masonite over pine body with white tolex binding, a white Masonite pickguard on which the controls are mounted and a four-way adjustable chromed brass bridge with a rosewood saddle. There's two aluminum strap pins and a redburst finish with sparkling silver colored accents. This guitar is 100% original and in good condition. With its fantastic fast action and terrific tone, this guitar plays like a dream. Although this instrument already looks lovely, a previous owner, perhaps a resident of the Haight, chose to further decorate it with Grateful Dead stickers. We chose to leave this personal touch intact as it represents part of its long history. This is the higher-end, two pickup, model of the amp-in-case line but this guitar does not include the amp-in-case. Get this great guitar while you can.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

This is a DC59 Limited Edition/3021 reissue, six string electric guitar made by Danelectro in China 2010 in a black finish. The “seal” pickguard is white and has an aged finish. It is a double-cutaway, masonite top and bottom with a plywood frame. This DC59 Limited Edition/3021 reissue is basically new-old-stock (NOS). You even get to remove the plastic on the cavity cover! The matt black finish is a sharp looking with white tolex binding. Overall, Danelectro issued this model with an aged finish that’s apparent in the body color, pickguard, pickups and tuners. The pickups and electronics are simplified to one tone and one volume control with a three-way toggle switch to choose between neck, bridge or both pickups. This model was a limited run and has unique pickups and tone. They’re strong and bright single coils with a matt finish. And, these single-coils are considerably more clean sounding than most. The modern bridge is fully adjustable for height and intonation similar to some later models. It comes with a good quality gig bag.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

JD Guitars T-12
The JD Guitars T-12 is a 12-string version of a thinline Telecaster, with a single-cutaway semi-hollow body that's got one F-hole. It's stained red at the end of the body and fades to yellow the closer you get to the neck, giving it a "tequila sunrise" finish that's only covered by a small S-shaped pickguard that barely reaches to the bridge plate. There's a DiMarzio hot rail-style humbucker (maybe a Fast Track T? not sure) in the bridge, and a normal single-coil in the neck. They're controlled by a volume knob, two tone knobs, and a 3-way switch. The 6/6 headstock is finished the same way as the body.

DANELECTRO 3011 - 1pu black electric guitar gig-bag Neptune New Jersey 1960. For sale.

A history unknown aside from the road scars. A well maintained survivor from the 60s capable of some serious single-coil grit!

www.vintagesilvertones.com/product/dane...

#VintageGuitar #Guitar #Danelectro
This guitar is a 1960 Danelectro 3011 “Standard”, double-cutaway, in a black finish with one pickup and a white “seal” pickguard. The finish shows its 60+ years of use with nicks, scratches, scrapes, and lots of genuine playing wear. The tone pot barely works. It’s very subtle, at best. The Short Horn Series was offered between 1958 and 1966. The guitar is 100% original and has all of the classic features: black finish with a white seal shaped pickguard on which the controls and input are mounted. It's a double cutaway semi-hollow body with a “Solid Center” construction consisting of a masonite top and back on a pine frame. There's one single coil lipstick tube pickup, a Coke-bottle headstock, and a two-way adjustable chrome plated brass bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle. The body has white tolex binding with two metal strap pins. This model is similar to and often confused with the two pickup 3021 model made famous by Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin. The guitar plays and sounds great. You can feel and hear the sweetness that ripened within it over the years. It comes with a gig bag. Grab this classic while you can. They’re become harder and harder to find.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
