Pips gave her rescuers the runaround for hours. To see her now – calm, comfortable, completely blissed out with Keeper Fred – is a wonderful transformation.
Her mother was likely killed by lions. Pips miraculously escaped the same fate.

It's easy to see how Pips evaded rescuers for hours – her coat is perfect camouflage.
Most of the day, she's sedate and composed. Then without warning: the zoomies. Legs flailing, whirling dervish. And then, just like that, reserved Pips returns.

Never believe a marmalade recipe that says the pips will float to the top and you can just skim them off 🤣. But having painfully sieved most of the pips out, the result is a very presentable batch of marmalade. (Grapefruit with a generous slosh of Grand Marnier 😋).
