Commercial pizza chains need to get their topping shit together. Where's fresh basil, slivered garlic clove, peppercinis? Stuff like that.

When people still talk about New York like it has distinctive, better pizza than other places, it's insane. Yeah, maybe in the 1970s. People have pretty well figured out how pizza works all across the world now. Everyone has pizza. It's not a closely guarded secret. Even many chains do a decent job.

The reason why Detroit is America’s Pizza City is because it’s the metro area riven by two competing local national pizza chains: Woke Pizza and Bonkers Conservative Catholic Pizza (Domino’s). It covers all our bases.
Tangential but only one of these places was never Not Bad & that was Pizza Hut until they changed their recipe & moved off the hat shaped restaurants in the mid 90s.
