One must imagine the destruction planners horny.
The nuclear targeteer sat at her desk comparing images from above with reports on production and the information of spies to rank different sites according to how much and with what priority they, in the event of a nuclear war, should be penetrated and defiled.

I don't think tbe Canadian state thinks a US invasion is imminent (we still have people on secondments in the US) but defense planners have basically modernized previous plans vs the US
October 18, 2026 at 2:49 AM
i mean, take it up with military planners who basically thought it was the best way to say "opposing force" as shorthand
Personal gripe, but I hate the term "opfor"

On current polling Bishop is finished and then @rachelbrooking.bsky.social and @lanpham.greens.org.nz along with the Planners and Transport Planners can go spend the next three years unwinding the damage Bishop and Simeon have done ot would have done

Soooooo who wants to join a community of planners to establish the scope of this project?

I mean this is signaling, but there are many many many scenarios planners should be looking at which are not “invasion”, basically with any path the US take.

I also don't think AI tools, more productivity apps, and/or software like AirTable are the solution to this increasing amount of digital executive dysfunction, because it overemphasizes individual effort over systemic changes and better government regulations. I also miss paper cruise planners. 😓

What President Trump has seen as an American–Iranian war is becoming connected with the Yemeni civil war, the Horn of Africa, the Nile dispute, and the security of the Red Sea. Wars grow.
If You Think You Know How the Iran War Ends, Think Again
Military commanders and planners have a way of preparing for the unexpected.

I hate getting cold emails from financial planners. Yes I am a law firm partner but sorry I went through a horrible divorce that devastated me financially so no, I absolutely do not need investment advice today. Also I do trusts and estates law so I know dozens of better financial planners than you.

I understand a lot of financial planners are advising you to factor in that some will be stolen by the horriblest babby

In all seriousness though, I think this topic is very, very important regarding the upcoming winter for planners and emergency managers beyond just California.
This evening, we focus on the potential for another long-duration East Coast storm next week. Coastal flooding? Winds? A tropical storm? It’s possible, and it’s likely to be far from the last time we discuss these things through Super El Niño winter. Below or at theeyewall.com.
Another East Coast storm will be the focus heading into next week
Recent events may be a harbinger of a long winter of coastal impacts to come

This is my central criticism of this generation of planners; they assume single detached housing is a benign/sacred baseline and everything and everyone else who wants to share that space must be prepared to make an offering for the privilege.
LB complaining about multiplexes - “There’s no affordability” “there should be affordability requirements”

%^*! That

This is so gross.

You’re fine with a single family house being $6m, creating wholly privatized wealth, but a 4 plex should have “affordability covenants”

It’s so infuriating!

the assumption is because we lose to them they must be super great planners. but they fucking suck.

9/ Europe's defense planners are also exploring ways to share military AI data without relying on American cloud companies. The worry isn't just privacy. A government that cannot access its own battlefield data on its own terms has outsourced an essential part of its security.

Not my usual subject, but a nice piece on the urban uses of concrete that its planners never anticipated. Even 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘦 plans leave room for creative reinterpretation.
‘Skating in the centre of London had a certain outlaw mystique: we were treating the city as a playground, getting into spaces we weren’t really supposed to be in and doing stuff we weren’t really supposed to do.’

They did cause a global famine by just being hungry lazy and poor-planners, them all being stupid was already established

I doubt Starlink limitations will severely hamper Ukraine's mid-strike campaign as planners in Kyiv have not trusted the US for a while.

From an EU/UK angle I'd worry more about how unreliable US leaders could tamper with basic intel and air defence systems Europe and Canada use
