GW really could be doing better with the upgrade sprues but FWIW they’re not too bad to scratch build, get a strip of plasticard and heat it a bit with like a lighter or something then a round ball of green stuff and stamp it with something like a round ball sculpting tool

Been working on some Heresy Militia Utility Haulers. Didn't want something as tall as a Cargo-8, so have been envisioning these as cargo carriers ridden between sites, now ready to move squads around.
Gonna work out a factory logo to go on the central sign, too!

It's #wipwednesday! Kinda chilled out this week. Got me some cheap tank toys that are about the size of a grot tank to be... well grot tanks for #miniofthemonth. got some model kits done as well; a cool Zaku II, and gave some #blokees kits a try. #Nerdlings #wip #gunpla #gundam #transformers

Made an electrical box, a shed and a couple of phone booths.
Also two attempts at a Futurama suicide booth. Second attempt looked a lot cleaner.

Tinkering about with corrugated plasticard for this modular trenches project. It's gonna be suuuuper time consuming to crack on with the wood, but it's so much more interesting visually.

Armageddon intercessor 2, for this one I swapped in a crusade squad helmet, tried a green stuff tabard, made a small plasticard crusade badge(which I also scribbled the details on with a pen), added 0.5mm chain to the chest and put a skull in the power pack

Update: Seems to be stretchable, but beyond my means at the moment. Plasticard and some choice cuts should work though.

…so I tried a sheet of plasticard. The shiny side. It seemed like it had worked…despite the weird looking corners….but stuck to the plastic more😆

It's pretty good for adding surface texture to orky scratchbuilds. Scrap plastic and plasticard can be too smooth, but speckling some of this stuff resolves that problem.

The Sabre Tank Hunter. WD120 (I read it two days ago by pure chance lol). Rhino + Land Raider parts and some plastic card/cardboard parts. Shared gallery pages with a (very well painted) purple beaky and two AMAZING scratch-built Scout Titans. As #oldhammer as you can get!

I'm continuing my scratch built #MarvelCrisisProtocol parking garage today.
I decided to build a ramp as modular, removable terrain. Can be added, moved or deleted as desired.
Since sloped terrain sucks for gaming I went for a triangular frame with inner steps for a flat display surface

Wanted some 6mm Spanish-themed buildings for use in our Black Powder Napoleonic games, so I ordered a selection from Timecast. I laid them out on a plasticard base with walls to create a defendable area for a standard or large battalion.

Oddly, my wife complains about the vapour when I use D-limonene (a naturally occurring solvent found in citrus fruit) which is gentler than butanone (I use it on 5 thou plasticard), but is happy sitting in a cloud of acetone while doing her nails!
