I love Moral Orel but there were episodes I thought were kinda shit and there were some plotlines and sequences I thought could use a bit of a rewrite.

lrp(s) I like that Viv put "better" in quotations because it is honestly subjective what "better" even is. while I believe it's possible for art to be poorly done and well done, I also believe art is inherently subjective and even things that are excellent in a technical sense might fall flat

I'm almost at the end of 3 I think and honestly while I get why this one's a classic, I'm really not feeling it compared to the first two. It's gonna be really hard to top 2 imo
well I finally understand why 2 is widely considered one of the best games of all time, because what the actual fuck were those last 2 hours

The show is good but i don't think i like how they will have multi-episode plotlines that just kind of end offscreen between episodes, particularly when it seems like selina is screwed and then offscreen everything just went her way apparently.

Think of it in terms of Sherlock Holmes. Those stories are peak when Watson is Holmes' new roommate, still learning all Holmes' methods, Moriarty is still "out there."

It's been a weirdly good couple years for gag manga in shonen jump with infinite potential for weird tf-y plotlines and it's very funny that Animal Signal is probably the more normal of the two big gag manga who lean on this trope somehow

The fact that AI companies being run by cultists whose religious texts are fanfic and treating sci-fi plotlines as iron laws of the Universe does really bring some of the recent batshittery with orbital datacenters and space mirrors into focus. Fantasists with zero technical background.

The main story will continue exactly where this one stops, it's just that Percy can't always be present on certain plotlines, so I think it would be simply easier to change the point of view, instead of trying to force him where he isn't needed. But the comic title is very Percy coded, so idk

Thanks. Sounds not as bad as the TV version, then, but am still perplexed by the 'Atlantis' thing; also by him dragging in plotlines & characters invented by the French romance tradition of the High Middle Ages. But that's common in a lot of what purport to be post-Roman-set modern adaptations.

garrak going thru a drug abuse / overdose / withdrawal plotline is so good. I was craving those kinds of plotlines in TNG. like they only made it vaguely sci fi with it being an implant, but its still straightforward drug abuse, due to chronic depression.

If I end up hopping on WoWF, I'm gonna play it as Shaka'zan's AU Shak'azzi. Will be a fun way to live out Darkspear plotlines while still having an attachment to Shaka'zan.
