I think the last decade of hyper-polarized politics drove everyone a bit insane and am genuinely hopeful to enormity of last night breaks us all out of our cages.

ok so! I've been saying for ages that we do NOT know that we're polarized—we know that we're VOTER SUPPRESSED & GERRYMANDERED. Fix that & it turns out we're polarized? Then we'll know.

& I would submit that tonight's results, unfolding against these *radically* suppressive efforts? Prove my point.

The U.S. has become more politically polarized, but research shows people overestimate their differences and there is 'messy middle' majority of Americans who share overlapping political views. n.pr/3UWR4ku
Is America really that polarized? The answer might be a surprise

There are two kinds of libs who stayed on Twitter

The first kind got more conservative

The other somehow got more polarized

How funny would it be if Nina Totenberg’s massive flub in June negatively polarized Alito into staying put only for the Democrats to flip the Senate

This is beyond my wildest dreams. I thought America was too polarized to breakthrough in many of these states. My god.

Maybe most Americans are not as polarized as our elites are?

Maybe a lot of Americans are more purple than hard red or hard blue?

How else can you explain Tuesday’s election results?

"Hyper-polarized politics" is an odd way to phrase "one side was sometimes annoying and scolded people too much on the internet and the other side kept kids in cages, shot unarmed protesters, cancelled healthcare, funded a genocide, and did nothing about a sex pest President."

Am becoming so negatively polarized against Kewpie Mayo. As with other carpet bomb podcast ads

Not even sure there’s a Dem comparison given how inelastic and racially polarized Mississippi has been

I didn’t think flipping a state like South Carolina — a hilariously polarized southern state — was even remotely possible. I’m stunned.
November 4, 2026 at 2:17 AM
This, exactly. It’s not blue state/red state. It’s, are you supporting a fascist criminal empire, killing people and robbing everyone blind? Don’t even start the “we’re all so polarized” shit.

Critical support to Haley Stevens for being so viscerally repulsive that she negatively polarized everyone into falling into line
November 1, 2026 at 9:06 PM
I’m doing a version of libbing out but for being polarized into becoming more Southern

I live in NC, so racially polarized voting rules less and less around me each election cycle.

In this nationally polarized era, parties rise and fall together. In Texas, you can be the worst most scandal ridden candidate in modern history and only underperform your party by a couple points
November 4, 2026 at 9:09 PM
hi Chris, curious which of the psychopathic right wing freaks who run the GOP you expect this election to awaken from their fascist dreams?

also the Democrats primary contribution to these "hyper polarized" politics has been assuming the fetal position while conservatives kick away, so...

Tbf it might not even be that: Stabenow underperformed Whitmer in 2018 by a near identical margin: it could just be about how federal races are more polarized
November 5, 2026 at 9:57 AM
I’m just stunned by this.

I knew a huge blue wave was coming — the fundamentals were horrific for Republicans — but I thought America was still too polarized for a truly transformative election.

Democrats leading in MISSISSIPPI? Winning Texas by DOUBLE-DIGITS?

Batshit insane.
November 4, 2026 at 1:42 PM
I really support this one. I’m polarized around this issue.
November 5, 2026 at 2:42 AM
It’s the most racially polarized state in the country

Sirianni's monomaniacal obsession with trying to draw the opponent offsides has negatively polarized me against the Eagles getting first downs by penalty.

"hyper polarized"

Why do these guys all want to come together around the campfire and have a sing along with Nazis? Politics isn't "polarized". People believe stuff and act accordingly. Goddamn centrists are afflicted with a terrible solipsism that prevents them from understanding that others have

the thing that makes this specific election feel so special is that it comes after a decade of one of the most polarized eras in american history

we have to go back to 1974 for a GCB comp, but i promise you that american life was not as polarized then as it was during most of the trump era
November 4, 2026 at 5:30 PM
white guy with ancestral ties in orange county is 100% from a family that polarized into libs in the trump era.
