Stefanie Catalano, mother of four, is preparing to lodge an ethical standards complaint against Victoria Police over their handling of her case following an alleged domestic assault by her husband, Antony Catalano. Prosecutors representing the police in the case against the media mogul were notified of the complaint's intent, with the document set to be lodged soon. Stefanie filed a 'statement of no complaint' with investigators in early June, and she will not testify in the upcoming court proceedings scheduled for October. Antony Catalano faces eight charges including threats to kill and false imprisonment. Police allege he swung a clothes iron at Stefanie's head, choked her, and caused her to break her tailbone. CCTV footage from the incident at their St Kilda penthouse is critical to the police case. The couple, previously separated, reconciled after the assault, and Antony entered rehab. His corporate roles were handed to his son, Jordan. Victoria Police, Stefanie, and Antony have not commented publicly. The case highlights tensions in high-profile domestic violence investigations and the complexities of legal proceedings involving wealthy individuals.
