The great dilemma of modern politics - are polticians cynically posing as idiots or have they been subject to the same terrible informational forces as the rest of the population and come to these conclusions organically?
Politicians just seem to have given up trying to explain the world as it is to people. It's a huge problem.
The fuel shortage has left me depressed about British politics in a way I never have been before, in that not a single party has avoided either saying or doing something incredibly stupid and completely removed from how anything actually works.

With texas. The Republican candidates do not even show up to events or debates. And no one has ever called them out on it. The idea is to stop citizen discourse to correct the Republican parties polticians.
