#polymeters
(I jest, I jest. I don't have to count polymeters as low as 17.)

One of the best Carpenter/Howarth scores and the pinnacle of their love affair with polymeters.

CLKDRIFT — Elastic Timeframe. Interlocking drumming principles become generative electronic structures as shifting meters and subdivisions keep the grid in motion.

I love mine its an incredible device it just needed to have supported polymeters for the past 20 years lol. I dont understand how they ended up shipping without that. It's the most obvious thing to use the LFO routing for

he's complaining about the supposed rhythmic sameness of jazz, it's idiotic, by the bebop period they were already implying 3/2 polymeters commonly and people like lennie tristano went much further with accenting that implied odd meters. it's a truly illiterate argument

Sadly no polymeters, you set one tempo and one time signature per project!

Polymeters - notably 3, 5 or 7 beats long bass patterns on 4/4 drums tracks, are a cheap yet powerful trick for jams.

Delay is the even cheaper rhythmic trick, though with much more experimental risk: don't experiment too far in a live context !

No. We only play slow tempos with polyrhythms, polymeters, and odd phrasing. Sorry

I've been hyperfocusing on deadmau5's entire discography for the past few weeks and lemme tell ya, NO ONE is getting that close to Joel's style with or without AI

There are so many nuances like borrowed chords and polymeters that you simply just wouldn't pick up on w/out proper music theory

Schlagzeuger nennen das: Polyrhythmus

Why do people get polyrhythms and polymeters mixed up when there’s 90000000 annoying ads Jacob collier vids of him stroking his cock and spanking his arse in a 21:22 polythythm

It’s doubly impressive because Drumeo got Mike Portnoy, no stranger no polymeters, frustrated as hell trying to play it youtu.be/b3sEdST3D9E?...

gives me the feeling of a journey so imaginative and unique what a great album for experiencing a strange world... also kglw plays with polymeters and polyrhythms and strange time signatures it's always so very pleasing to listen to music that displays mastery of timing and rhythm

scratch is pretty sick tbh i love this dark techno-y vibe the way i think abt music tho, this is just in 4/4 with the instruments sitting in polymeters around it

Most math rock bores the absolute tits off of me, so leave it to Steve Reich to create the genre's definitive work. Two bands of five people playing polymeters against one another. Ending gets me every time—that man knows how to fuckin *build* to a piece's conclusion.

Virtuosic microtonal guitar, a pedal board the size of a Cadillac, tight drums, loops and layers and polymeters, bonkers costumes, and a pocket deeper than the mines of Moria, Angine de Poitrine will fuck you up.

Most computer-based sequencers will let you edit the time signature to 12/8 or 5/4 or whatever, but none of them handle polymeters or polyrhythms really well.
