Smiling Common Darter
Blissful summertime pondwatching
a Common Darter dragonfly landed upon a fallen, bent, brown reed on our garden pond, its legs gripping either side of the withered stalk. It is facing the camera and as I clicked it tilted its head to one side and gave me a big beautiful smile. Howdy little fella
