We got claws on Aethon Shaan!

I decided to paint the right one as idle and inactive and the left hand claw as powered hup while slicing into the rock.

Looking good I reckon 😇

A photo collage displaying the WIP status of the miniature paintjob of Aethon Shaan the chapter master of the raven guard. Two different size hexagonal frames in the top left quadrant of the image show the lightning claws from different angles and closer up. Shaan is part of and the leader of my competition entry into the category "40k Unit" at this years Golden Demon at SPIEL in october. It is painted lore accurately with black panels, metallic fuel and exhaust pipes as well as a blue heat effect inside the latter. It's a unit of four space marines, three of them being unnamed customized Vanguard Veterans plus their leader and the new chapter master of the Raven Guard, Aethon Shaan. They are all placed on a vertical rock pillar base on round black plinth. They are painted in lore accurate black & white armor and red fabric ribbons and are placed on a red rock pillar set on a round plinth.

So I tried making an effect that was very thin so just a little wind or movement will make it move and give the look the magnetic power has in the cartoons
