This is the biggest thing listing actually does: unlisted houses have something called permitted development, where you can make some changes within some areas without preapproval. Listing means you have to get preapproval for what would otherwise be permitted dev.
And also you can’t do “whatever you like” even to un-listed buildings. What you can do to your property is still restricted by planning rules and building regulations and things like conservation areas. Just less so than when they’re listed?

Every insurance “preapproval” I have received said the preapproval did not guarantee payment. WTH? What’s the point of the preapproval process if it doesn’t mean anything? Patient still has to worry about whether they will end up broke. The health insurance industry has become flat out evil.

I saw too many people getting denied on valid healthcare claims, even after going through the preapproval process. Our for-profit healthcare system is killing our citizens. It’s time that it stopped.
