#prediabetic
I've been running the CamAPS liberty [fully]* closed-loop AID for a month now. Still requires some manual inputs for optimal performance, but the algorithm is more aggressive than the FX predecessor. Results speak for themselves. 93% TIR last week and A1C/GMi approaching prediabetic levels.

Is Matthew trying to blame his current vision problems on his eye exam from 2020? 6 years ago?

That's a very schizophrenic thing to say.

That's how it is with him.

He doesn't understand things.

He probably just needs to be on diabetes medication.

Another doctor said he was prediabetic.

I need to like, figure out the layers. really do wanna get fatter (like to 305 at least and then stop there) but I really don't want the health issues that come with it. my grandpa was diabetic, my mom is diabetic, and my sister is prediabetic and I really DON'T wanna go through that.

Well I’m almost prediabetic but they think it will get better the more I’m on zepbound. My cholesterol is high and my thyroid is back out of range. I have hypothyroidism. So may need an increase in dose for that. Anyway glad I’m on zepbound then #chronicillness

My doctor told me I was prediabetic — and I genuinely did not eat sugar.

because technically I was "not" prediabetic. But thats not fine! .1% away is nothing! I'm so frustrated from gaining 20 pounds over a combined 5ish years, and I try to eat well and exercise and it does not help. The only way I was able to lose some weight was not eating when I was rly depressed

I'm frustrated bc I brought the weight gain up and was brushed off bc my bmi was "normal" even tho the weight gain imo is not. Then was brushed off when I said I had a foot injury and other things that make it hard to exercise. Then was told I was .1 away from being prediabetic but it was "fine"

IT DOES SUCK
last time I was prediabetic was 2022

I want to be very clear: unless you have some particularly bad lab results (not “oh no you’re prediabetic” or even “you have T2D”) there are better treatment options than intentional weight loss.

I don't drink at all anymore. My prediabetic years were enough peeing for a lifetime 😇

If the insurance company would have approved a dietitian and help with diabetes when I was prediabetic, I think I would have been in better shape.

Pre-diabetes needs to be covered. I would think this would have saved me and them money in the long run.

Just continuing on from my last post - so I found out that I was prediabetic a while ago and my health worker has been nagging me to get back into the gym and start counting my calories/macros. Here’s today’s effort with my little fitness experiment

You were told you're prediabetic and to lose weight. That's it. That's all they said.

So, today I got confirmation that I've developed diabetes.

I'm honestly so frustrated because I know its a ton of work and money to manage it.

What I'm particularly annoyed at is I was prediabetic a year ago and tried to get help and basically they said, all the stuff to help isn't covered until+

There’s an interesting dichotomy between me and my Gen X parents where they are deathly afraid of being any measure of “disordered”

When my stepmom got diagnosed as prediabetic, you’d have thought she got a fuckin stage 4 terminal cancer dx

Not beating the prediabetic accusations

Just got the results of annual blood work. Everything is good, except my a1c is still on the edge of prediabetic.

On one hand....god damn it I've worked my ass off to lose 55 pounds and I'm still on the edge.

On the other, I was fully prediabetic previously, among other things, and now I'm not

My A1C came back prediabetic and I was devastated — because I'd already cut the cake and the Coke.

Well, your favorite Remi was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last week.

It's not a total surprise because I've been prediabetic for years and years, and it runs in my family, but I've been feeling some type of way about it since I LOVE my potatoes and sweets. 🫠🫠

So only now at 40 can I get meds to help my PCOS and only because it was renamed and better recognized as a metabolic disorder, meds to fight the insulin resistance that has caused me so much woe with my weight and is why for years now my fasting blood glucose has been 1 point away from prediabetic
